After reading all these, got curious and checked status of my cases online after a year. I got a soft lud on my, my wife & son's case on 02/25. Something is definitely happening.
Sorry for being ignorant. How can we determine LUD (last update date) and what is meant my soft LUD ?

I just registered for IV. I wish I could come to DC rally on 18th. But due to certain unavoidable circumstances I may not be able too. Though not an excuse But I feel very guilty about it and this guilt will always remain there that I was not part of rally on 18th. Of all the wrongs in April VB +ve thing is EB3-I moved. It moved to the extent it moved last year (http://immigrationvoice.org/wiki/index.php/Past_Visa_Bulletin_Data).
So for EB3-Is take console on these
1) Horror or 245(i) (http://immigrationvoice.org/wiki/index.php/245(I)) are over.
2) EB3-I may be over 2001 by start of next year.
So EB3-I may move only by 2 months for the rest of the year?

I also got the same message. But it says document mailed and not as Travel Document approved. What does this mean?. IS the AP approved or any RFE on the AP??:confused:

They highly receommended that people should maintain H1 status as much as possible until the GC process is fully complete.
Regarding EAD they said
. it is a blanket work authorization but you should watch for expiry date and maintain its continuity to keep working.
. interestingly to Murthy's surprise, the EAD has been extended by USCIS even if a MTR is pending. This is unusual as there is no written word about it and preciously USCIS used to deny EAD extensions.
. AOS is authorized stay even if your EAD expries. You are not out of status with EAD expiry but you must renew it ASAP.
. They said "You are allowed to stay until 485 is adjudicated" (meaning while using EAD)

I got quite a few positive responses. On other side I got few negative messages, few pessimitics and few red dots on posts after I started this exercise. Sometimes it still bothers me but I guess I need to get out of this critics and appreciations and want to concentrate 100% on agenda: Fight against injustice in AC21 implementation.

Gor GC waiters, the child tax credit will not be available for kids under age 1.
In Oct 2004, my kid was 6 months when she landed in US.
When she was 9 months in Jan 2005, I tried to include her in my tax returns but IRS said I can not include her until she becomes one year old.
This year 2006, I could include her after getting her an ITIN.
In short, child taxation issue is there only for one year at the maximum.

for what it s worth here is my experience with ohio bmv
i brought h1b approval till feb st 2010 and receipt notice for I 485 and employer letter till feb 1st 2010. I dont have ead or ap.
they told me that cus of i485 i can only get dl for 1 year, however with the employment letter they did give it to me till feb 1st 2010

One thing for sure USCIS do likes April fools day a lot as this the date they usually pick when the retrogress. This proves that a fool named DOS in love with April fools day.:)
